Howto ATEM Picture in Picture

Step by Step

• Open the Blackmagic 'ATEM Software Control'
• go to the 'Switcher' tab
• Select your 'Mix Effect'
• Click on your Key ('KEY 1', 'KEY 2' ...) within 'Next Transition'
• navigate to 'Palettes'
• Scroll down to your corresponding 'Upstream Key <Num>' and click on it if not already expanded
• click on 'DVE'
• on 'Fill Source' select your input source to be shown in the smaller picture
• Enter values for 'Position' and 'Size' (you may use mouse/touchpad click and move left/right to scroll). Good starting values are
  • Top Left: Position X: -10.00 / Position Y: 6.00 / Size X: 0.25 / Size Y: 0.25
  • Top Right: Position X: 10.00 / Position Y: 6.00 / Size X: 0.25 / Size Y: 0.25
  • Buttom Left: Position X: -10.00 / Position Y: -6.00 / Size X: 0.25 / Size Y: 0.25
  • Buttom Right: Position X: 10.00 / Position Y: -6.00 / Size X: 0.25 / Size Y: 0.25
• Click on 'ON AIR' above your ('KEY 1', 'KEY 2' ...) within 'Next Transition'
