Howto

Multitrack with Behringer X32

The YouTube/Dana Tucker: Setting Up Reaper DAW with the X32 video was inspiration for this little hoot.

In case one would like to do multi track recording or playback with the Behringer X32 Compact audio mixer. Connect the mixer with the USB Type B Connector on the X-USB expansion board to your computer. On Windows: go and download/install the driver form Behringers Web-Page. On Mac there is no additional driver required.

On the Behringer X32: press 'Setup' Key (next to your Main Display) navigate to the 'Card' tab (using the 'PAGE SELECT' keys '<' or '>' (at the bottom right) then Select the Configuration 32in / 32out and 'Set? it by pressing the knob.

On the REAPER Mac software navigate to the menu 'REAPER' -> 'Settings' -> 'Audio / Device' and make sure that 'X-USB' ist selected as 'Audio Device'. When your multi track project is opened navigate to the menu 'View' -> 'Routing Mix' and assign inputs and output to your tracks
